GL Shaft
Aluminium is very good material for shaft, it is lightweight and strong enough for the application. But there is one problem, slot at the bottom many times easily chipped when user tried to tightening the handle.
So the solution is removing the E-Clip mechanism and migration to bolt for securing the Actuator. Screw mechanism can loose under heavy vibration, thanks to the GL Core assembly that has a spring, it helps to prevent this from being an issue.
Since there is no more slot to tighten the handle, a small hole on the shaft is needed to tighten the handle. We placed the hole just under the Handle, so user can swapping handle without needing to open the enclosure.
Bearing actuator is superior compared to generic actuator, so we decided to use it exclusively going forward. We shorten the lower shaft so it doesn't need a ring for the actuator assembly, making installation much easier.
This comes with a cost that generic actuator is not compatible anymore, but that's not a problem because we also decided to discontinued the generic actuator model.
