A Lever Love Letter
What is the GL Pro?
The Golden Lever Pro is our newest full-figured addition to the robust Golden Lever ecosystem. Based on Korean lever, made from machined aluminum piece, embraces the same "million lever setup" philosophy while demonstrating lessons learned from years of professional engineering and real long-term user feedback. Our new product aims to further narrow the gap between competitive tact and personal flair, allowing you to create your own masterpiece that plays as good as it looks.
Fine tuned.
Taking inspiration from guitar strings, we’ve placed the posts for our silicone slightly wider to create an effect we refer to as "tension amplification". The idea here is to manipulate the silicone via stretching. This new concept combined with the wide array of classic and new silicone designs allow for higher variations in tension and neutral play.
Draw your sword (and throw away the scabbard).
Finding your "million lever setup" is a big task regardless of your skill level. When you take into consideration the time it takes to unmount your lever and teardown the hardware (only to then be able to start modding) you may have missed out on far more of your precious time improving your game than originally intended. Following in the footsteps of the VM6R, our flagship travel-handy enclosure, you no longer need to dismount the entire lever in order to make the slightest adjustment to your setup. The new body that makes up the bulk of the lever will remain fixed to your enclosure while the new mount allows for quicker adjustments. With Golden Lever Pro all you need to do is reload, reassemble, and quickly get back into the game.
‘Corner’ the competition.
Finding your corners on your lever shouldn't have to be a boring geometry class (assuming you hate math as much as we do) so we took the liberty of creating a new bottom-mounted multi-gate system for the Pro version. These three gates are known as "less" - the circle with no corners, "normal" - a circle-squircle hybrid with softer corners, and "Deep" - the squircle with very noticeable corners. We believe this new addition further represents player freedom of choice and fine tunings.
Tension redefined.
We'd like to introduce you to the newest member of the silicone lineup - the XA silicone. The XA silicone combines the best of both of what you've already come to love: the higher but steady tension of the A with the lighter yet corner-seeking cutouts of the X. This marriage results slightly higher tension with smaller corner cutouts, putting the overall tension of the XA in-between both versions already in the wild.
Alongside the XA, both the current X and A families are being updated to the GL Pro line. Tensions for the Golden Lever Pro across all three silicone variants will be initially offered from 30 (least tension) to 50 (most tension) similar to what you are already accustomed to.
What's in the Box?!
Now that we've covered the origins and some of the most notable changes, let's reveal the base specs of the Golden Lever PRO:

- Core: 13.5mm
- Grommet: 40XA
- Spring: Normal
- Bushing: 15.5mm
- Bearing: 16.25mm
- Mounting : 16mm spacing
- Microswitch: 1A6
- Gate: Normal Corner
The GL PRO also comes with the recently-launched GL Switch PCB, specifically tailored for use across the Golden Lever ecosystem. This native quality-of-life upgrade will free you from the 8-pin harness and instead will simply require you to use the 5-pin connector that is standard fare with most universal arcade wiring. Last but not least - it fits on your Golden Lever within the VM6R perfectly – no more guesswork!
When you see your new lever, you'll notice that the new base is much thicker than either the classic or slim Golden Lever plates, with the PRO coming in at ~4.5mm thick. For use with VM6R, we will include four M4x10mm screws with your order. And for others generic enclosure with thin plate we also included M4x 8mm screws. For those who are still using the VS1R, we recommend to self-source four M4x15mm screws.
The Golden Lever PRO retains the same tolerances as the original Golden Lever, coming in at an internal height of 38-39mm. This means that your enclosure of choice will need at least 40mm internal clearance to work without damaging any components. If you already enjoy Golden Lever or other full-sized Korean levers without heavy modifications to your fightstick case, then the Golden Lever PRO should fit like a glove.
Addressing the Elephant.
One thing you may have noticed is missing is the much-beloved GL Handle. In order to keep in line with the volatility of the current market and ensure sustainability, we've made the very difficult decision to omit a fixed topper from the Golden Lever PRO, but not without compromise.
When carefully evaluating our choice, we realized that toppers are undeniably the most contested part of any setup. Every player has different tastes, needs, and some even have freakishly large hands (such as OneDeadlyVenom, an OG Golden Clan member who helped inspire the large carbon fiber bats enjoyed worldwide). In keeping with the spirit of the "your lever, your setup" mantra that Golden Lever was built on, we leave the agency with you to choose your own adventure with what should be the cherry on top of your PRO experience. In exchange, we chose to add value back in by including the GL Switch PCB we spoke on earlier – a major quality-of-life improvement across our entire Golden Lever ecosystem and any of the many enclosures that call them home.
While we believe this is a worthwhile compromise, we would like to apologize to our long-time fans for any inconvenience. Rest assured, all of our signature Golden Lever top handles in the colors and styles that you love will remain available for purchase alongside the PRO should you require them.
A Legacy Reborn.
We can’t talk about the Golden Lever PRO without talking directly to our Golden Clan members all over the world (hello!). Every single day we're amazed at the ingenuity and creativity of all of you whom we are proud to lovingly call a part of the family.
We do not take your investment in the Golden Lever ecosystem up to this point for granted, and as a result, we are now currently prototyping legacy parts for you to convert your classic Golden Lever to the new PRO format using parts you already have in your possession.
